Oil on canvas. I found the picture of the girl in a 1985 Honeybee catalog. I like the bright colors and the dress wasn’t too 1980’s, so I decided to paint her. Later I put in the background other than just a plain color like it was in the photo and I had originally planned. The background is my actual photo from a hotel in Safad, Israel.
I was at a loss for words when it came to the title and had other ones in mind, but “Sunny Day” seemed to fit it quite well.
