Oil on canvas. My dad’s job was to deliver roofing materials to various places in upper Illinois and Wisconsin. One of the houses he visited, the owner had a boat and he was located right by a Wisconsin Lake (forgive me, I don’t know which one). He took a picture of it and asked me to paint it for his office.

I usually like doing portraits, so this was new for me and I’m happy about the way it came out.

    Lucid Waking is a literature and art blog that started as Shades of Pink in 2004. Lucidwaking.net has housed my fiction since June 2006 and shortly after grew to include art and photography. Most of the written work is in a draft phase--although gone through a precursory edit--and should be evaluated with a grain of salt. Every year Lucid Waking grows and gets better and I hope to keep satisfying my readers.
