Meet Rio Samba, one of the roses in the front window box of my house. The time of day I took it put the rose in shadow, but the nice thing about it is it’s off center, which makes the composition nicer and more unique than a straight on shot, which I also got.

    Lucid Waking is a literature and art blog that started as Shades of Pink in 2004. Lucidwaking.net has housed my fiction since June 2006 and shortly after grew to include art and photography. Most of the written work is in a draft phase--although gone through a precursory edit--and should be evaluated with a grain of salt. Every year Lucid Waking grows and gets better and I hope to keep satisfying my readers.
