What’s New?
October 12, 2008
Unfortunately, no time to re-scan the other pictures or write a post. But one painting up in portfolio for this week. As always, I hope for more to show next time.

4 new photos added. When I went to upload a photo for an art project reference, I noticed there were many pictures I hadn’t uploaded at all. So I went and did that. I would have had two portfolio pics, but the scanner screwed up and I don’t know where they are on my computer. So I’ll scan them in at a later date.
Perhaps a written post tomorrow or the next day.

On post 301: Just a short poem I came up with after listening to a song from NPR’s Song of the Day. I get introduced into some very interesting songs. I thought this might be a different song for this month than the usual classical selections. I don’t think I really like the poem, but it’s positive and different and definately out of my box.
On post 302: In an effort to write more posts in October than September, I just came up with this. Yes, it’s spooky. No, it’s not gruesome and I think it’s different than other posts I’ve written. I like the poetic language, and short sentances, but other than that…
Anyway, hopefully more pics coming soon. I’ve been busy but I hope to keep writing this month. I’ve also been working on the format of this site a little more. Hope you like my changes that will be coming in the next few months, hopefully ending in time for the next year.

So…hi. Well, two new pictures in Portfolio. One other one up hopefully today or tomorrow. I’m working on another post, but I’m caught up in school and college apps. So I don’t get a lot of time to write. I’m trying to get everything going again, but it’s going to be slow for a while.
I’m not sure if I mentioned this, but I’m not going to be having a best of the blog contest this year or any years thereafter. Not enough people can read my blog and catch all the updates and no one emails me any suggestions that they like. I still encourage comments, of course, but just enjoy the posts and don’t worry about picking your favorites.
On post 299 & 300: I feel bad there is no special post for post 300. I don’t think I’ve had special posts for any of them so far. But this is a story I came up with while in the car going home from college visits listening to Joe Jackson’s version of “You and Me Against the World.” The lyrics sort of reminded me of two con artists and so the story stuck. This took me forever to write not only because I had no time, but also because I edited this a lot. So, this is the final draft for me and hopefully everything is clear.

So, first of all: the internet went down over here and in the middle of the dry spell, school started. Thus, I have a lot to do in very little time. I’m going to upload a post as soon as I can (which would be Saturday, most likely), but I don’t promise much. I tried looking for some music today, but couldn’t find anything I liked. Will look some more, but must get ready for school now. I just uploaded the things I did manage to write during that time.
My scanner is not working with my laptop, so I’m going to have to put it back on the dinosaur down in my basement where it was originally. This means I can’t do my homework while it’s scanning, since I’ll have to oversee things while it goes. This means that more pictures will be added at one time, but these times will be more scarce. As if that’s even possible.
Again, winter is coming, so things are getting farther apart over here. Please don’t lose, hope, though. I really do want to get back in the swing of things after my dry spell.

Just some cuteness. And don’t forget to check out the video of the woman in Scotland walking her skunk. It’s adorable!

So some discrepancies, if you will. The posts have been recounted and there are 296 as of now. There will be a new picture up in my portfolio, but my scanner doesn’t work anymore so I’m going to have a lot of trouble getting pictures up. I think about once a month, or so often I’ll scan in my pictures at Kinko’s and get them up here. But there won’t be a lot of activity there unless something is already scanned in.
On post 297: Just something I came up with watching the Olympics, specifically the gymnastics. Jason is based off of one of our athletes, but the other two aren’t really. I like it, even though it’s short. Maybe on my Author’s Choice, but I doubt it.
On post 298: I don’t know what this is about. I started with the beginning and then just went to the end utterly confused about my brain and what it was trying to tell me. Maybe it was trying to say “Be polite!” but I am polite.
As things wind down, so do the posts. Don’t expect a lot from me.
